No sooner than I said "whoa, the sky looks weird" our phones started buzzing with a hazardous condition warning -- a haboob, or sandstorm, was approaching with 45 mph wind gusts.
Fortunately, we had decided to spend the day at an indoor amusement park, Amazing Jake's. We got all-day passes for lazer tag, bowling, bumper cars, and arcade games. Since the Arizona kids already started school, we had the place to ourselves for most of the nearly TEN hours that we spent there.
Jason is really good at air hockey! Beat me twice in a row!
