Cave Creek, Arizona

Everyone thought I was nuts to book a vacation in Arizona in August.  Sure enough, it was 104 when we landed yesterday, but it's absolutely stunning here. Here's a look at our beautiful villa:

In the background is Black Mountain,which we climbed up to the top.  It was a little treacherous in spots, but we were warned:
