I have dreamed of going to France FOREVER!!! After taking French in school from sixth grade through high school, I was seriously ready to immerse myself in some of their culture and language and got a chance at our second stop in Marseille, the second largest city in the country. We did a hop on/hop off bus tour and got to see the old and new parts of town over the course of the day.

| This church was unique in that it had a nautical theme -- there were hundreds of model boats hanging from the ceiling and the walls were decorated with life preservers and pictures of sailors -- interesting!! Oh yeah, and all the usual gold leaf, stained glass windows, artwork, and sculptures. Gorgeous. |
