Mall of America, Bloomington MN, 8/3/2011

This is either part four or five of our progressive vacation. The Mall of America was one of our favorite places to go to when we had flight privileges with United and could be there within an hour or so. Now, we have to plan out a drive and it takes a little longer, but it's definitely worth the trip. We were just there last October for the first time with the kids and they had a blast at the amusement park in the middle of the mall, so we decided to make it part of our progressive vacation and enjoy it again. Here, the boys ride together on some cars that go really slow on the straightaway but whip around the turns really fast. They didn't have to ride together, but chose to, which I thought was pretty cool.

So last time we were there, Jack was just a tad too short to ride the super rollercoaster, the one that goes straight up a couple stories and then pretty much straight down, has complete loops and supertight sideways turns. This time, he was tall enough (and brave enough) to enjoy it (about half a dozen times). However, here he is on a little kid ride and having a great time -- it's pretty neat that he can enjoy anything and everything. Again, hanging out together and enjoying the ride. This one goes straight up and then as it descends, it kind of bounces up and down and the kids just laughed and laughed.
Big rollercoasters, little rollercoasters, the boys love them all...
...but Mommy and Daddy got a little queasy and had to take a break. We took the boys up to the miniature golf place on the top floor so we could get our stomachs back.
