Wow, we have had tons of rain in the past 24 hours. Non-stop. This open area is a few houses down from us and is normally just grass. Now, Lake Elgin has formed. Jack and Dennis had a blast going out into the water and splashing around like a couple of ducks. I don't know why they bothered with rain jackets because they were soaked to the bone by the time they came back inside. Anyway, one of the neighbors told me that the worst rain is expected sometime tonight! We may have to get a canoe. Or teach Jack how to swim.
