Happy New Year, Let's Go to Florida!

I got the most amazing price for a plane trip to Florida, and the dates all worked out so we were off!  Chicago was in the midst of a crazy cold snap -- we're talking zero degrees and something like -20 wind chill -- so anything to get us out of that was welcome.  And, we all hadn't been South in a long time, so we were VERY overdue.  We left on Thursday the 4th with very few plans in mind.
Waiting at the airport.   Zero degrees.

On our way!

Grandma Rose met us at the airport and we spent the first two nights at Aunt G's house, which she had kept all decorated for Christmas.  Of course, Grandma and G spoiled us all rotten with great food, hugs, conversation, and lots and lots of cookies!  Soooo nice to be around family!!  We went to the Museum of Science and Industry in Tampa on Friday and had a blast!

The boys try out a life-size "operation" game.  I'm not thinking either one of them will end up a surgeon.

Who's afraid of heights and rope challenges?  Not my guys!
