I took the day off so I could celebrate Jason turning 9. Wow, time flies! Jason was insistent that it wouldn't really be his birthday until 12:56, until Uncle Sean rightly pointed out that it's a birth DAY, not a birth MINUTE. Jason conceded to the logic and allowed us to wish him a happy birthday from then on.
Birthday cake pancakes are definitely the way to start the day! I only make them on birthdays.
Took Jason lunch at school... he wanted a happy meal from McDonald's. I really enjoy sitting down with the kids and their friends, having lunch and being in their world for a bit. Crazy, but fun.
The rest of the day was homework, piano practice, an epic pillow fight (with a brownie break), and soccer practice.
