My baby is eight!!! Wow. Gulp. He's such a character, this kid... super smart, always in motion, always making noise... my life is so much richer having him in it! Highlights of his day were my special birthday cake pancakes (which he had been asking for over the past couple weeks), finally graduating from using a booster seat in the car (although a little birdie told me that Daddy hasn't had a booster in his car for months), and being able to go solo in the library's youth center. Yes, we actually went to the library on his birthday so he could be on his own. Hence the gulp; my baby is growing up and getting independent slightly faster than I can wrap my head around the idea.
