I'm thinking that Jason might just be a veterinarian when he grows up. He is always trying to talk to animals. The thing is, he expects an answer.
The alligator feeding guy was insane. There were 200 alligators at this place, and he's walking around in flip-flops. He did a great job of not losing any fingers and had a lot of neat alligator trivia and stories to share.

We ended up at the Garvan Woodland Gardens by chance. We had intended to take the kids to a kids' gym but it didn't open until 2:30, right at their naptime. So we decided at the last second to try the gardens, and what a treat that turned out to be.
There was a nice koi pond and we bought some food (which I suspect was hamster food) to feed them. The fish were huge! And pretty aggressive; when they saw us coming, they swam right over to where we were and literally jumped all over each other to get some food.
Just beautiful. We only had a few hours to spend there, but we could easily have stayed a whole day. We went down a few of the trails and there was even a special area designed for kids.
We had heard there was a train garden, so we saved that for one of the last things to see. Of course, the boys could have spent the whole day right here. There are three separate tracks with model trains and scale models of some Hot Springs landmarks, like the Brick and Tile Company at the top right.

Above is Jason at the alligator farm attempting to converse with the turtles. I can't figure out how to move this video to its proper place above so deal with it! Anyway, we had a great vacation overall and are glad we gave Arkansas a chance. Jack has already asked when we are going back, but hey, we have plenty of other places to see first.
