Florida Christmas Vacation: 12/23

Day 5. We headed to Tampa to see the Victory Ship, a cargo ship used by the Merchant Marine to deliver munitions to our troops in several wars.  It's not a replica, it's an actual restored vessel you can walk all around, an amazing piece of history.

On our way to Tampa for the day

Saw this walking around looking for a lunch spot

After lunch we drove over to an immersive art exhibit at Fairgrounds St Pete.  The word WEIRD sums it up nicely.  There were a bunch of oddly decorated rooms to walk through and look at.

This was a telescope outfitted with a kaleidoscope inside it

I have no idea.

It was a short visit.

The day and the trip, was winding down and we decided to visit St Pete Beach and get our feet on some sand.  It was so beautiful outside.

Jack went shell hunting

Jason dug a hole

This might be my favorite pic from the whole trip

As we left people were lining up their decorated golf carts for a parade
