EYSO Summer Chamber Music Camp

Both boys decided you audition for the Elgin Youth Symphony Orchestra summer chamber music camp, and they both got in!  So psyched, since this was our first real in-person opportunity to do much of anything since March.  They spent the week with 28 other kids and coaches.  Jack was in a quartet with another violin, a viola, and a cello while Jason was in a trio with viola and cello.  Each day they'd see a professional quartet play, spend 3-4 hours with a coach, attend composition classes, workshops, and even tai chi on the school lawn.  On Friday they capped off their week with a short performance in a concert hall which can be seen through this link:

Jason's group starts at minute 49 and Jack's starts at minute 53

Jason enjoyed the week so much he auditioned for the full-year program with EYSO and yesterday was offered a slot with the Prelude group, a strings-specific repertoire.  Should be an exciting year for him!  I love hearing them play!!  Bravo, guys!!!
