We made our first Leprechaun Trap this year. According to legend, if you can trap a leprechaun he will pay you gold coins for his release. We worked diligently to repurpose a box, making a ladder out of coffee stir sticks, and adding shamrocks, Easter grass, a pile of "gold", and a rainbow to entice a leprechaun...and it worked! We caught one!!! Unfortunately, he must have had a little saw on hand, as he cut a little hole out the side and left us a note that said "nice try." Despite his surly attitude, he left Jack and Jase each a gold dollar coin. Jack suggested that we make the trap out of metal next year so the little guy won't be able to escape...
