Another Perfect Day

We could not have ordered more perfect weather than what we got today. Mid-80's and sunny, with those awesome fluffy clouds. We haven't used our membership to the Arboretum very much on account of the 40 or so days of 90+ degree weather (so far!), so I jumped at the chance to go today. The kids wanted to stay home and play Wii (which they would do 24/7 if allowed) but I made them leave the house and we had an awesome time! Of course they brought and played their handheld game thingys until the moment we parked, but that was fine with me because it keeps them from looking at/hitting/kicking/breathing on/etc each other.

Mr. Loves-to-have-his-picture-taken posed many, many times...

Jack still enjoys the playground, just in a different way than he used to...

Jack in the shaded walkway that he ran through about two dozen times at full speed:

Jason truly is the one who takes the time to smell the flowers. Many of them.

We spent at least an hour at this stream. The boys rearranged rocks in an effort to build a dam, and sent many corks bobbing and floating down the stream. At one point, Jason fell completely in the water and got drenched, so we had to hang out a bit so he could dry out. I just love seeing them working together and having a good time outside. With each kid in their own camp three days per week, they've had less and less time to spend together than ever, and school will be starting on the 22nd for Jack already. So this was really nice.
