Fourth of July

As usual, we attended the Elgin parade on the Fourth of July. I just had to include this picture of Jack occupying himself by playing a game on Dennis' phone, which is pretty much a full-time requirement. I mean, the kids always have to be preoccupied, preferably by staring at a screen of some sort. At least until the candy started flying, that is.

Jason has really taken to wearing sunglasses and is very serious about picking just the right ones:

I captured a moment of silence where there was no pushing, fighting, or exclamations of unfairness:

Again, it was about 105 degrees and just grossly humid outside. We sat for about two hours and then left before the parade was over, to spend the afternoon with friends. I was too brain dead to take any more pictures later. Eh.
