Darren John Wurtzinger, 7/16/1973 - 9/02/2019

Today we will have final services for Dennis' brother, Darren.  Darren was 46 and just a day or two away from getting the artificial heart that would have kept him going until he could get a donor heart. We are reeling from the loss of such a large part of our family... Darren was the kind of uncle that went to numerous soccer and volleyball games, orchestra concerts, and the boys' birthday parties with their friends.  Every kid should have an uncle like him -- doting and so, SO proud!!  A week before he passed away, Darren called a family meeting with Leni, Dennis, and me, and he looked me in the eye and told me that he would fight like hell and I know he did!  In that same meeting he told us that he was at peace with however things turned out from the impending surgery, and I hope that is true.  Darren, you deserve peace and comfort and you will live in our hearts and minds forever as the charming, fun-loving, spoiling uncle & best friend.  We all love you and are absolutely heartbroken with your passing...
