AWWWW!!!! We had been looking at pictures of shelter dogs online for awhile, and went to meet one named Ringo who turned out to be a super-energetic, outgoing, playful big guy... maybe a little too energetic, playful, and big. Then we spotted this beauty, shivering in the corner of her kennel and knew instantly that she needed us to bring her out of her shell. We took her into the meeting room and she was super shy, trying like crazy to get behind the bench:
But she won us over and we took her home. She took to her new bed quickly enough, but is still super skittish and shaky. Our next door neighbor used to volunteer at our local shelter and she told us that they would rescue dogs from another shelter downstate, a horrible place that would house the animals in kennels 24/7, and those rescued animals behaved just like this. Our little girl didn't seem like she had ever been outside or in grass -- she simply hunkers down and lies still whenever we take her out.

| She's a Catahoula Leopard mix, 6 months old, 25 pounds |
 |
| Looking unsure at her food and water bowls |
 |
| Perfectly fine accepting cuddles and being held! |
Her given name was Sequel, but that just doesn't seem to fit. So, we are trying out all kinds of names and still haven't come up with the winner. Suggestions welcome!
