Jason and I ran in the 2nd Annual St. Patrick's Day 5k run, a fundraiser for Anderson Animal Shelter in South Elgin. It was a cold 20 degrees outside but the scenery was beautiful, running on the Fox River trail and through a Kane County forest preserve. Jack declined since I wouldn't let him wear just shorts, so Jason was my running buddy and did great on his second 5k! We actually ran it in 32 minutes, a whopping four minutes faster than last year's Fox Trot race. Next time, we finish in under 30!
