Dodgeball Win!

Jack was invited to be in a dodgeball tournament, which was a fundraiser for his friend Liam's baseball team.  The tournament was a three-hour event and it was very loud and crazy in there, so I took Jason out to dinner at his favorite restaurant -- McDonald's.  This was pretty special for him, since we hardly ever eat there, but what made it even better was this cool interactive table we sat at. He was pretty happy to have experienced that, especially since Jack missed it.

Well, dodgeball turned out to be very exciting!  We got back to the gym when the tournament round started (I guess the games up to that point were for fun).  I watched Jack's team and they were really good!  In one game, Jack caught three balls which allowed his teammates that had been knocked out back into the game.  Crucial.  So, undefeated in the tournament, his team faced entered the championship ...  and WON!!  Woot!!  How exciting for his first go at tournament dodgeball!!  Plus, his team had the most parents that had stayed to watch, and we made a LOT of noise for our boys! The best part might be that they got medals, which was really cool because it's a REAL medal only given to the winning and runner-up teams -- unlike soccer where everyone gets a trophy just for playing.  Here's the winning team:

Jackson was spending the night with us anyway, so having him over plus the epic win made for a pretty pumped-up night!  The boys were up until midnight before the adrenaline (and sugar) rush wore off and they barely made it up to bed.  Well done, guys!
You earned it bud!!
