Our favorite reindeer visitor showed up this morning, one day earlier than normal, to help us count down the final days until Christmas. He brought the boys an Elf on the Shelf, to help keep an eye on the boys, plus some reindeer treats.
We went to the boys' bank for an extra-special event...Santa and his reindeer were in town!!! We met reindeer Cookie and Snowflake last year, and they were kind enough to come back. Cookie, below, didn't much care for having her picture taken...
...but Snowflake was a real poser. Check out those antlers!
Jack has been real skeptical about all the Santas we have seen around town...every time he sees one, he says "it's not the real one, it's just some guy in a suit." Well, while we were waiting in line at the bank today, I overheard someone say that the real Santa was here, and Jack confirmed THAT IT WAS!! How cool is that?! I didn't think I'd be getting anymore pictures with Jack and Santa, but here we have it:
Jason filled out a postcard to Santa, asking for the Hot Wheels Car Maker. Good thing Santa was in the building -- that postcard will definitely end up in the right hands.
Later in the day, we met up with some friends and went to Cantigny Park, which had a neat Lego exhibit that took up two big rooms. The exhibits were amazing! We spent about an hour there and then headed over to a McDonald's with a PlayLand so the boys could burn off some energy. I'd say it was a pretty great day!
